About this platform
Japan Ingredient Sourcing Platform is an English-language information and introduction service connecting overseas B2B buyers with Japanese ingredient manufacturers.
What the platform does
The platform publishes structured information on Japanese ingredient manufacturers and the ingredients they produce, written in English for overseas buyers. Buyers submit inquiries in English; our team reviews each inquiry, forwards it in Japanese to the most relevant manufacturers, and returns responses in English. The platform is an intermediary — it is not a party to any purchase or supply contract.
What the platform does not do
- Guarantee product quality, safety, or regulatory compliance. Buyers are expected to perform their own due diligence.
- Provide legal, customs, tax, or regulatory advice. The operator is not licensed to do so.

- Handle payment, escrow, or fulfillment in Phase 1. Contract and payment terms are negotiated directly between buyer and manufacturer.

- Japanese government and government-backed organizations (JETRO, agencies of MHLW, METI, MAFF, JPO)
- Industry associations (tea, miso, soy sauce, cosmetics industry bodies)
- International bodies (UNESCO, ICCR, ISO) for craft heritage and certification references
