  Founded in 1883 by Shichishichiro Watanabe in Usuki, Oita Prefecture, engaging in miso and soy sauce brewing and sales. The company was reorganized as Fuji Jin Shoten Co., Ltd. in 1924, followed by the establishment of Fuji Jin Shoji Co., Ltd. in 1946, and renamed to the current corporate name Fuji Jin Shoyu Co., Ltd. in 1950. The company consolidated its commercial division in 1955, spun off its Oita branch and petroleum operations in 1963, launched yakiniku sauce in 1968, introduced the miso brand "Yoake" in 1971, established the Nihoyo Miso Cooperative Association in 1973, developed Kyushu's first bonito soy sauce in 1977, and established the Nihoyo Soy Sauce Cooperative Association in 1984. In 2018, the headquarters relocated to its current location in Usuki (Suehiro), the company underwent organizational restructuring as Sun-Ace Factory in 2019, and obtained JFS-B certification in 2020.
