Company History of Milott Co., Ltd.

  Founded in 1935 as Ishibashi Shoten in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, 株式会社ミロット began cosmetics manufacturing in Nihonbashi in 1937. Following the intensification of war, operations relocated to Sugeta-cho, Yokohama in 1942. In 1946, the company resumed cosmetics manufacturing as B.J. Beauty Chemistry Research Institute in Sugeta-cho. The company was renamed to 株式会社ミロット in 1956. A new Sugeta Factory was established in 1965, followed by the establishment of 株式会社ミロット Sogo in 1976 and 株式会社Alie Fujisawa Factory in 1988. Thailand Mirotto Laboratories was established in 1989. A joint venture company was established in Suzhou, China in 1995. The Sugeta headquarters and research building were expanded in 1997. ISO9001 certification was obtained in 2001, followed by ISO14001 certification in 2005 and Ecocert certification in 2009. An open laboratory was established at the Sugeta headquarters in 2016. Kohoku Factory was established in 2019, followed by ISO22716 (Cosmetics GMP) certification in 2020. Vegan Cosmetics Product certification and SEDEX registration were obtained in 2021. Sagamihara Factory is scheduled to be established in 2026.
