About
Japan's largest commercial jujube orchard, cultivating ~4,000 trees on 6 hectares in Fukui City's Natsume district (where natsume = jujube). Started from 500 seedlings in 1998. ~90% of cultivars are Taisō (大棗) kampo medicine grade. Pesticide-free cultivation. Primary products: dried jujube (40-60°C × 3 days, 1-year shelf life), jujube extract (3-day extraction, 200 fruits per bottle), yakuzen-natsume castella. Annual production 30,000-120,000 kg (weather-dependent). Japan's only commercial jujube-specialty orchard business model.
