  Founded in October 1925 as Asaiya Sugar Shop, Alpha Food Staff Co., Ltd. was incorporated as Asaiya Shouten Co., Ltd. in 1952. The company began manufacturing operations with the introduction of sugar packet filling and packaging equipment in 1978, and commenced handling domestically produced wheat in 1985. Following the completion of its new headquarters in 1991, the company changed its name to Alpha Food Staff Co., Ltd. and established a Planning Products Division in 1992. The Web Business Division was established in 2001, and an online shop launched in 2002. The company obtained organic JAS certification in 2006, opened a U.S. office in 2007, and established a second processing plant in 2008. The Tokyo Sales Office opened in 2013, followed by the completion of the Johoku Plant in 2016. The Biocashi series was launched in 2018, and a Sustainability Declaration was adopted in 2020. Norihiro Asai assumed the position of Representative Director and President in 2024. The company will celebrate its 100th anniversary in October 2025.
