  Founded in 1961 in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture as Hamada Food Chemical Industries Co., Ltd., the company relocated to Joto Ward, Osaka in 1965 and to Higashi-Osaka in 1967. In 1980, the headquarters and factory were established in Yao, Osaka Prefecture, and the company was renamed to its current name. The Yaku-no Factory in Tendan District, Kyoto Prefecture was established in 1988, followed by expansion into Toyama Prefecture in 1991 with the relocation of the sugar-coating division. The Toyama Factory was expanded in 1992 and 1994. In 1999, the Higashi-Osaka Factory was closed and a gummy production line was newly installed. A wastewater treatment facility commenced operations in 2002, and machinery equipment was introduced in 2014. The company obtained ISO14001 certification in 2002, ISO22000 certification in 2007, and FSSC22000 certification in 2018. The Toyama Factory No. 2 was established in 2016, the Toyama Factory obtained FSSC22000 certification in 2019, and the Toyama Factory No. 3 was established and certified in 2021.
