  Founded as a sole proprietorship in August 1984, Hinomoto Shokusan Co., Ltd. was established in May 1985. The company relocated to new headquarters in November 1997 and established the subsidiary Kasen Ltd. In February 2010, the company received agricultural-commercial cooperation project certification. FSSC22000 certification was acquired in 2013, followed by Halal Kitchen certification in September 2016. The company's dedicated halal food manufacturing facility commenced operations in January 2017.
