  Founded in December 1948 in Hirose-cho, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Kombu Co., Ltd. was established in 1949. The Numata Factory (current head office factory) was completed in 1968. The capital was set at 45 million yen in 1972 and increased to 60 million yen in 1977. The head office relocated to the West Distribution Center (Shoko Center) in 1979. The company name was changed to Hiroconfoods Co., Ltd. in 1986. Following phased capital increases, the capital reached 140 million yen in 1998. ISO9001 and ISO22000 certifications were obtained in November 2005, and FSSC22000 certification was obtained in November 2011. A new office building was completed on the factory premises in 2022, and head office operations were relocated.
