  Hokkaido Bussan Kosha Co., Ltd. was founded in April 1975 as a wholesale distributor of wild vegetable products in Nishi Ward, Sapporo. The company was incorporated in April 1977. In August 1983, the headquarters relocated and wild vegetable processing and vegetable packing facilities commenced operations. The Tokyo Sales Office opened in March 1987, followed by the absorption and merger of Hokkaido Agricultural Processing Co., Ltd. in July 1988. The new headquarters building in Teine Ward, Sapporo was completed in November 1990. In 1991, daikon radish strip processing operations began and additional processing facilities were expanded. A dedicated cut vegetable processing facility started operations in March 1993. In February 1995, Kabelu Co., Ltd. was acquired and merged, leading to the commencement of burdock processing. The main factory was expanded and a dedicated cut vegetable plant began operations in November 1998. General prepared food manufacturing authorization was obtained in July 2003. The Yokohama Sales Office opened in March 2004, followed by acquisition of Sapporo Food Sanitation Management Certification (HACCP-compliant) in October 2005. The Western Japan Sales Division and Kyushu Office were established in 2006. Green power facilities were introduced in October 2010, and rice grain operations commenced in February 2011. A retort sterilization chamber was installed in September 2012. The Asahikawa Office opened in April 2015. Hokkaido HACCP Self-Sanitation Management Certification was obtained in June 2016. Shimukappu Village Industrial Promotion Association became a subsidiary in November 2018, and ISO22000 certification was acquired in March 2019.
