  The company was founded in June 1972 as Kyodo Chemical Co., Ltd. and obtained regulatory approval from the Ministry of Health for the manufacture of quasi-drugs and cosmetics. It changed its corporate name to Shikii Chemical Co., Ltd. in December 1977. The Miyoshi Plant was expanded in July 2002, followed by obtaining a license for the manufacture and sale of quasi-drugs and cosmetics in April 2005. Construction of a new plant in Sayama, Saitama Prefecture began in May 2011, with operations commencing at the Sayama Plant in September 2012. IRODORI SHISEI (THAILAND) Co., Ltd. was established in June 2019 and integrated into Saishikiseii Co., Ltd. in April 2021. ISO22716 certification was obtained in February 2022. Construction of the IRODORI SHISEI (THAILAND) plant commenced in October 2023 and was completed in December 2024. The weighing building at the Sayama Plant underwent expansion in November 2025.
