  Founded in 1832, Saga Vinegar Ukon has a long tradition of excellence. In 1964, the company received the Superior Award at the First Kyushu Brewing Association Competition. The company was honored with awards from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' National Hometown Foods Competition in 1991, and received the New Business Development Contribution Award from the Foundation for Food Industry Development in 1993.
