  The company commenced manufacturing and sales of ramune in May 1896, relocated to Shimoshirakae-machi (current headquarters) in 1962, entered into a franchise agreement with Royal Crown Cola in 1972, completed the new headquarters building and second factory in 1990, finalized mass production equipment for one-way bottle ramune in 1993, diversified into health and beauty beverages in 1995, completed the third factory and expanded into spout pouch beverage business in June 1998, established Balance Co., Ltd. in April 2000, received management innovation plan certification from Toyama Prefecture in March 2001, obtained ISO9001:2000 certification in June 2002, acquired ISO22000:2005 certification in July 2011, obtained FSSC22000 certification in December 2013, opened the Tokyo sales office in April 2015, completed the new factory for spout pouch beverages in April 2018, and attained JIA-GMP certification in August 2018.
