Anz Corporation was established as Nihon Josephine Corporation (日本ジョセフィン社) in Kita Ward, Osaka in July 1960, commencing door-to-door sales operations. The headquarters relocated to Yao, Osaka Prefecture in September 1975. In December 1977, the company underwent a merger with Kansai Organic Chemical Industries Corporation, a cosmetics manufacturer. International operations commenced in April 1984, followed by the completion of the Tondabayashi factory in March 1986. OEM business was launched in June 1989. The headquarters relocated to Chuo Ward, Osaka (current location) in December 1993. The company name was changed to Anz Corporation in January 2006. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary in December 2010. The Nara factory was completed in September 2015. In May 2018, the OEM business was transitioned to ODM business.
