Company History of Master Co., Ltd.

Founded in January 1930 by Seiichiro Okunaka as Okunaka Soap Manufacturing Co., the company was incorporated as Okunaka Oil & Fat Industries Corporation in July 1960. The company name was changed to Master Corporation in July 1986. It received recognition as a superior corporation from Sakai Tax Office in November 1993, and obtained licenses for cosmetics manufacturing and quasi-drugs manufacturing in January 2000. Following the revision of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law in April 2005, the company acquired licenses for cosmetics and quasi-drugs manufacturing and sales. The Deshima Factory was completed in January 2007 and obtained cosmetics and quasi-drugs manufacturing licenses in August 2007. Taisei Okunaka assumed the position of Representative Director in August 2009 and increased the capital to 60 million yen. The company obtained Eco Action 21 certification in October 2011, ISO9001 certification in December 2014, and ISO22716 (Cosmetics GMP) certification in December 2020.
