1. Tokai Sugar Industry Co.
2. Ltd. was founded in Yokkaichi
3. Mie Prefecture in July 1958. The company began manufacturing hydrous crystalline glucose in October 1958
4. introduced enzymatic saccharification methods in August 1959
5. and commenced production of anhydrous crystalline glucose in September 1960. Japanese Pharmacopoeia-grade glucose production started in September 1966. Mie Kogyo Co.
6. Ltd. was established in March 1967 (later renamed Aitoh Co.
7. Ltd.). San-ei Toka received the Japan Society for Bioscience

9. and Agrochemistry Award in April 1971. Isomerized liquid sugar production began in November 1973. Aitoh and Tokai Sugar Industry merged in May 1978
10. and the Chita Plant (now the head office plant) in Chita
