Takeuchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established as Virgin Japan Co., Ltd. in June 2013. The company opened its first waxing salon, Virgin Wax, in Ikebukuro in August 2013. In September 2015, the commercial product manufacturing and sales division was spun off to establish Repika Co., Ltd., and the Adachi-Odai factory was completed. In September 2016, the manufacturing division was incorporated as a subsidiary under Takeuchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The company obtained manufacturing licenses for cosmetics and quasi-drugs in January 2017, medical device manufacturing approval in March 2019, and food additive manufacturing approval in September 2019. The Tokyo-Towa factory was completed in October 2019, and the company obtained high-risk medical device sales approval in November 2019. The headquarters was relocated to Higashi-Gotanda, Shinagawa Ward in May 2019, and to Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa Ward in December 2021. In September 2022, Takeuchi Pharmaceutical joined the Ohizumi Group.
