  Teshima Kaiken Co., Ltd. was originally established as Teshima Shoten, a specialty chemical materials trading company, in Tomi-Sato, Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka in May 1961. The Tokyo Sales Office was opened in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo in August 1969, followed by the establishment of a business facility in Hirano-ku, Osaka in May 1977. The company was incorporated as Teshima Kaiken Co., Ltd. in April 1985, and in October 1987, the capital was increased to 30 million yen with the establishment of a Production Department at the Hirano facility. A Research and Development Department was established at the Hirano facility in January 1989, and headquarters operations were transferred there in June 1992. The Izumi Plant was established in Izumi, Osaka Prefecture in February 2008, followed by the relocation of the head office to Izumi Technos Stage in Izumi in March 2008. The Tokyo Sales Office was upgraded to Tokyo Branch in April 2009.
