  Established in 1959 as Sun Spice Corporation, the company commenced spice manufacturing operations. It introduced the Fresh liquid spice product series in 1963, followed by the Oleo coated spice line in 1964, and began chili pepper extract production in 1966. In 1973, the Shiga Factory was constructed and operational, marking the company's entry into the Kaneka Group and subsequent name change. The Ibaraki Factory was built and commenced operations in 1987. The company increased its capital from 100 million yen in 1991 to 200 million yen in 1999. The Shiga Factory liquid processing facility was completed in 2001, followed by ISO9001 certification in 2004 and ISO22000 certification in 2014. KSS Vietnam Co., Ltd. was established in 2005, and the headquarters was relocated in 2007, with supply operations expanding from Vietnam to Thailand and China. The Tokyo Application Laboratory was established in 2010, a new warehouse facility was constructed at the Ibaraki Factory in 2018, and a new blending facility at the Shiga Factory was completed in 2020.
