  Ajapan Co., Ltd. traces its origins to April 1889 when Eisuke Suzuki began wholesale distribution operations in Hiroshima. The company was incorporated as Suzuki Shoten Co., Ltd. in March 1926, and merged with Ajapan Manufacturing in February 1937, commencing production of monosodium glutamate and related products. In October 1962, the company established a partnership with Kyowa Hakko Kogyo Co., Ltd. Following the Nissin Food Group's management participation in August 1971, Ajapan transformed into a comprehensive seasoning food company. During the 1990s, the company expanded its sales network to Osaka, Kanto, and Kyushu regions, establishing nationwide operations. ISO9002 certification was obtained in September 1999, followed by ISO22000 and FSSC22000 certifications in August 2015. In April 2016, the company opened the West Japan Sales Office by consolidating the Chushikoku and Kyushu sales offices. The company will celebrate its 100th anniversary in March 2026.
