  Founded in 1850 (Kaei 3) by the first-generation proprietor Rishei in Miwa, the company began manufacturing somen noodles. Trade with the Osaka market commenced during the Meiji period, followed by transactions with Mitsukoshi Department Store Osaka in 1924 (Taisho 13), marking the beginning of packaged sales. Business expansion with major department stores including Takashimaya, Daimaru, and Kintetsu accelerated in the early Showa period, leading to the creation of tri-colored somen in 1929 (Showa 4). The company incorporated in 1952 (Showa 27), established the Miwa Somen Tea House Senjutei in 1980 (Showa 55), and changed its corporate name to Kaisha Ikeri in 1995 (Heisei 7). In 2016 (Heisei 28), it received Geographical Indication (GI) certification and Yamato Sakurai Brand certification, followed by HACCP certification in 2017 (Heisei 29).
