  Kinki Food Processing Limited Company was founded in November 1971 as Tajima Food Processing Co., Ltd., initially producing and selling processed chicken products such as chicken balls and chicken cutlets. Takashi Horiya joined the company in January 1972, and the company obtained certification as an approved factory by the Japan Frozen Food Association. In September 1979, the company was renamed to Kinki Food Processing Limited Company and began manufacturing yakitori skewers. Takashi Horiya assumed the position of president in February 1986. Frozen takoyaki production commenced in October 1989, followed by frozen okonomiyaki in 1995 and frozen pajeon in 1999. Toshihiko Horiya joined the company in July 1994. The company was affected by Typhoon No. 23 in October 2004, resulting in a two-week to one-month production suspension. A new office was established in August 2005. In November 2005, Takashi Horiya became chairman and Toshihiko Horiya became president. A new frozen product storage facility was constructed in May 2011. In September 2014, the company was commended as an excellent facility by Hyogo Prefecture.
