Earth Studio Co., Ltd. was established in December 1998. The company began importing and selling aroma diffusers in January 2001, and changed its corporate name to Air Aroma Co., Ltd. in April 2006. An aroma space designer training school was launched in May 2006, followed by another corporate name change to At aroma Co., Ltd. in April 2008. The headquarters relocated to Tamagawa, Setagaya Ward in March 2011, and the first @aroma store opened in March 2013. The headquarters relocated again to Sangenjaya, Setagaya Ward in February 2014. At aroma Co., Ltd. obtained a license for cosmetics manufacturing and sales in August 2015 and a license for food additive manufacturing in October 2025.
