Company History of Echigo Seika

1. Founded in 1946 with the commencement of boiled buckwheat noodle production in Ojiya City
2. followed by factory construction in Nagaoka City in 1947. In 1951
3. Yamazaki Seimen-sho was established as a limited partnership to begin dried noodle manufacturing
4. with rice cracker production commencing in 1953. Echigo Seika Co.
5. Ltd. was established in 1957. The main rice cracker factory was destroyed by fire in 1962. The company merged with Hoshino Confectionery in 1973 to begin wrapped mochi production
6. and constructed a clean room facility (Takanashi Daini Factory) in 1975. The Clean Pack Series was launched in 1977
7. followed by fresh kakimochi and inaka mochi in 1979
8. and nama-maru mochi in 1980. Takanashi Daisan Factory was completed in 1983
9. the Koshi no Densho Series was launched in 1987
10. and large-scale production of Echigo no Gohan began in 2000. The Ojiya Factory opened in 2009
