  Fuji Sangyo Co., Ltd. was founded in August 1954 in Mitoyo County, Kagawa Prefecture, initially manufacturing and selling dried garlic powder. In October 1967, the company developed liquid garlic products. The company was incorporated as a corporation in August 1968 and launched "Vitalick," a mixed feed for livestock. Following a name change to Fuji Sangyo Co., Ltd. in May 1970, the company expanded into aquaculture in October 1976 and established a veterinary pharmaceuticals division for aquaculture in October 1979. In October 1987, the company jointly developed "Shanlab" with Takeda Pharmaceutical Industries and relocated its headquarters to Marugame. The Aomori Plant was completed in October 1989, followed by the Tokuyama No. 2 Plant in March 1993. A direct sales business division was established in April 1994. In March 2009, Fuji Sangyo obtained the Privacy Mark certification, and in April 2011, the Tokuyama Plant obtained ISO9001 certification.
