Company History of NISSHA Co., Ltd.

  NISSHA traces its origins to October 1929 when Naoki Suzuki founded a printing business. Following the establishment of Suzuki Naomi Company in 1932 and a corporate merger in 1942, Nippon Photographic Printing Co., Ltd. was established. The company became Nippon Photographic Printing Inc. in December 1946. In 1967, NISSHA developed Japan's first wood-grain transfer foil and entered the home appliance market. A dedicated electronics components factory was completed in 1970, followed by the company's listing on the First Section of the Tokyo and Osaka Stock Exchanges in 1979. The company developed a resistive-film type transparent touch sensor in 1985. Under Junya Suzuki's presidency beginning in 2007, overseas sales surpassed 50% of total revenue. In 2012, NISSHA developed a capacitive-type film touch sensor using photolithography. The company acquired a U.S. medical device manufacturer in 2016, marking entry into the medical business. NISSHA adopted its current corporate name in 2017, followed by the acquisition of a pharmaceutical company in 2019, enabling expansion into the pharmaceutical sector and marking the company's 90th anniversary.
