Company History of Sankyo Foods Co., Ltd.

1. Founded in October 1964 when Shunshaku Nakamura began operations in natural seasoning ingredients
2. Sankyo Food Corporation established a dried vegetable and natural seasoning extract manufacturing facility at its current location in September 1975 and commenced production. In December of the same year
3. the company was reorganized as a legal entity with capital of 5 million yen. Capital was increased to 40 million yen in October 1976. The company obtained edible oil and fat manufacturing authorization and began oil flavor production in November 1982. Sales of dried vegetable products for the foodservice industry in the Tokyo metropolitan area commenced in July 1983. Capital was increased to 44 million yen in August 1987. A new jet-zone dryer was introduced in December 1994
4. followed by the establishment of a technical research laboratory in December 1999. ISO 9001 certification was obtained in February 2002. The company received frozen food manufacturing authorization in March 2008 and constructed a grinding facility in July 2008. The Terasawa Plant was built as a specialized foodservice and prepared food manufacturing facility in July 2010. Toshiyuki Nakamura assumed the position of Representative Director in February 2015. The Terasawa Plant obtained JFS-B compliance in June 2019 and the head office plant in October 2019. The Fukuoka Office and Tohoku Branch Office opened in February 2020
5. the Terasawa Plant achieved ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 compliance in May 2020
6. and the Tokyo Office opened in July 2020. The head office in Toyohashi was renovated in January 2021 and the head office plant achieved ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 compliance in July 2021. The Sapporo Office opened in April 2023.
