Company History of Sanmaruko Foods Co., Ltd.

  San Marco Foods Co., Ltd. was founded in December 1979. The company commenced with a capital of 10 million yen in June 1980, which was increased to 21 million yen in March 1983. The Sapporo No. 2 Factory was completed in August 1988, followed by the Eniwa Factory in November 1992. The capital was increased to 40 million yen in October 1993, and the first expansion project of the Eniwa Factory was implemented in December 1994. The Urahoro Factory was completed in August 1997, and the company changed its name to San Marco Foods Co., Ltd. in October 1998. A Tokyo branch office was established in March 2000. In June 2002, Koichi Fujii assumed the position of Representative Director and President, followed by the second expansion project of the Eniwa Factory in July 2002. Nippon Reifood was made a subsidiary in April 2006, and the company obtained ISO9001 certification in November 2006, subsequently merging with Nippon Reifood in April 2008. The Eniwa Factory obtained ISO22000:2005 certification in September 2012, the Tsubetsu Factory expansion was completed in December 2012, the third expansion of the Eniwa Factory was completed in April 2015, and the Tokyo branch new office and central kitchen were completed in November 2017. The fourth expansion of the Eniwa Factory was completed in March 2020. The Doctor Dish EC site was launched in February 2023. In May 2024, Koichi Fujii assumed the position of Representative Director and Chairman, and Yukihiro Fujii assumed the position of Representative Director and President. Both the Eniwa and Tsubetsu factories obtained FSSC22000 certification in August 2024.
