Sansei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka Prefecture in November 1993, followed by the establishment of Suncapsule Co., Ltd. in August 1994. The Kusazawa Plant commenced operations in November 1994 with soft capsule manufacturing, expanding to hard capsule production in April 1999 and seamless capsule production in April 2003. The Ooi Plant was completed in November 2000, and the Banno Plant began operations in January 2005 with plant-based soft capsule manufacturing. The Oobuchi Plant opened in June 2006 for tablet production. The company relocated its headquarters to the newly constructed office in Ooi, Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture in March 2010. The Atsuhara Plant was completed in January 2013, and the headquarters relocated to Atsuhara, Fuji City in June 2014. Sansei Pharmaceutical merged with Suncapsule in December 2014. The Nanryo Plant was completed in May 2018, and ADC Tokyo was established in September 2020. Kamata Corporation was made a subsidiary in January 2024, and was subsequently absorbed in April 2025, marking the commencement of operations at the Chiba Plant. Kazunaga Yamada assumed the position of Representative Director and President in April 2026.
