  SUNAO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established in January 2011 as a supplement OEM, cosmetics OEM, and food mail order sales company. In April 2011, the company began joint research with Miyazaki University. Group company sunao natura Co., Ltd. was established in April 2014. The dried vegetable product "Kyushu Dry Veg" was launched in January 2016, followed by the additive-free green juice product "shutto" in July 2018. In January 2020, the company was certified for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' Sixth Industrialization Subsidy Program. The Miyazaki headquarters relocated to Kawara-cho in May 2021. In August 2021, SUNAO Pharmaceutical was recognized as a High-Growth Expected Company by Miyazaki Prefecture. The company was selected for "Hataraku SME 300" in December 2021, J-Startup KYUSHU in March 2022, and Miyazaki Prefecture's Value-Added Enhancement Challenge Enterprise in July 2025.
