  Asanuma Corporation traces its origins to 1947 when Asanuma Takeo Shoten was established in Shinjuku, Tokyo, commencing eyebrow pencil production. In 1952, the company was reorganized as Asanuma Shoten Co., Ltd. and began manufacturing lipsticks. The Nakano Factory was established in 1957, launching mass production of makeup cosmetics. The company was renamed Asanuma Kogyo Co., Ltd. in 1961. The Sagamihara Factory commenced operations in 1966, followed by the establishment of a cosmetics research laboratory in Sagamihara in 1982. In 1990, Asanuma Masaumi assumed the position of Representative Director and President. The company was renamed Asanuma Corporation in 1995. The Nakatsuta Factory was established in 1997, with the Sagamihara Second Factory opening in 2003. Shanghai Asanuma Cosmetics Co., Ltd. was established in China in 2007. A Skincare Group was added to the research and development division in 2012. The Sagamihara Third Factory was completed in 2015. In 2017, a new cosmetics research laboratory was constructed and the Quality & Technical Center was opened. The Sagamihara Logistics Center and Sagamihara Fourth Factory were established in 2018. ISO22716 certification was obtained in 2019. Asanuma Takashi assumed the position of Representative Director and President in 2022. A Haircare Group was added to the research and development division in 2024.
