  Established in November 1949 as the macaroni division of Shinto Flour Milling, Koruno Macaroni Corporation was registered as a macaroni manufacturer and distributor in May 1952. The company introduced Italian macaroni production machinery in July 1956, followed by incorporation as an independent entity in April 1960 with a new manufacturing facility completed in September of that year. Spaghetti production commenced in February 1967. A Swiss-made production line was installed in April 1975, and macaroni drying equipment was upgraded in December 1983. The company became the exclusive distributor of Italian imported pasta in April 1984. Production machinery was updated in July 1987, and a Product Center was established in Kanra Town, Gunma Prefecture in February 1993 concurrent with a corporate merger. Spaghetti and macaroni production lines were updated in March and relocated in May 1993 respectively. The new head office was completed in June 1999. ISO 9001-2000 certification was obtained in December 2001, and the company received commendation from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare as an excellent food hygiene facility in October 2004. Ultra-high-temperature drying line equipment was upgraded in June 2007. The current representative director assumed office in September 2011, and FSSC 22000 certification was acquired in September 2018.
