  Established as Mokuken Chemical Industries in Miyakojima Ward, Osaka in March 1949, and incorporated as Mokuken Chemical Industries Co., Ltd. in July 1969. Cosmo Beauty Co., Ltd. (Limited) was founded in December 1986, transformed into a joint-stock company in July 1991, and relocated its headquarters building to Konohana Ward, Osaka in May 1992. An office was opened in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in April 1996, followed by the establishment of Vinacosmo in September 1997. A Shanghai office was opened in October 2001, and Daoye Shangwu International Trading Co., Ltd. was established in Shanghai, China in May 2004. The headquarters relocated to Higashi-Ikebukuro, Toshima Ward, Tokyo in April 2007, followed by a merger with Mokuken Co., Ltd. in June. In June 2014, the Osaka Branch and Osaka Research Institute relocated, establishing a dual headquarters system, with Takashi Yamazoe assuming office as the fifth Representative Director and President in July. The Nantong Factory in China was completed in October 2014, and the second Vietnam factory was completed in November 2014. The Nantong Second Factory in China and the third Vietnam factory were completed in 2018. The Osaka Central Office opened in July 2019, and the Kanto Second Factory was completed in October 2019. The Kobe Port Island Factory was acquired in August 2021, with operations commencing in May 2022. The Hakata Sales Office and Research Institute opened in November 2023. The headquarters will relocate to Narimasu, Itabashi Ward, Tokyo in April 2025, with the completion of the Kobe Factory Frontier scheduled for November 2025.
