  Hiyski Food Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in 1924 as Hishiya Beverage by Yoichi Hishitani. The company was established as Hishiya Beverage Limited Company in 1959, reorganized as Hiyski Food Industry Co., Ltd. in 1964, and appointed Tsunehiro Hishitani as representative director in 1970. In 1981, the company established its konjac manufacturing division and chilled food sales division. Ryuji Hishitani assumed the position of representative director in 1985. The company established its research and development department and commenced new material research and development in 1996. It received certification under the Small and Medium Enterprise Creative Activities Act in 1998, and received approval for management innovation in 2004. The company obtained patents for its seasoned konjac production method in 2006, konjac food ingredient production method in 2007, and konjac noodle retort sterilization method in 2011. Mannan Lever® became a bestseller in 2012. Tetsuji Hishitani assumed the position of representative director and president in 2023.
