  Founded in 1967 as a soup and mentsuyu manufacturer, the company began developing powdered seasonings. The first factory was completed in 1982, marking the start of liquid seasoning production. In 1996, Norihiro Nishiyama assumed the position of representative director and president. The company expanded manufacturing and filling equipment in 2006, and established a factory office combined with a research facility in 2011. It obtained the food hygiene management improvement program certification in 2015, and increased capital to 16 million yen in 2017. In 2021, it acquired HACCP-designated facility status and obtained Halal certification for powdered soup. The company gained organic JAS certification in 2022 and established the Marui Food Development Research Institute. In 2023, Noriaki Nishiyama became representative director and president.
