  Sanso Kaiken Co., Ltd. was established in July 1968. The company obtained cosmetics manufacturing license in 1970, expanded its factory in 1985, and acquired quasi-drug manufacturing license in 1986. In 1990, Kenichiro Okamura assumed office as Representative Director and President, and the Technical Development Department was established. Seaweed gel capsules were developed in 1991, followed by the commencement of ODM operations in 1992. In 1996, the cosmetics sales subsidiary Prestige Co., Ltd. was established in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. The company obtained a U.S. patent for functional foods (artificial caviar) in 1999, and acquired patents for alginate capsule cosmetics in 2001, launching cosmetainment. The Tokyo branch office was opened in 2002, and in 2003, the Technical Development and Sales Department and Management Accounting Division were relocated to Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture. In 2004, the Singapore subsidiary SCI was established and the Abiko factory was completed. Cosmetics Manufacturing and Sales license was obtained in 2005, and the Ichikawa factory was established in 2006. The Beijing subsidiary was established in 2007 with a patent for aqueous liquid eyeliner obtained. Patents for peeling gel formulation were acquired in 2008. In 2009, Kenichiro Okamura became Chairman and ISO9001 certification was obtained. Hajime Okamura assumed office as Director and President in 2010, and became Representative Director and President in 2011. Prestige was absorbed and merged in 2012. The Osaka Ikeda factory was completed in 2017 and obtained ISO22716 certification in 2018.
