Company History of Asahi Flour Milling Co., Ltd.

  Founded in 1940 and designated as one of 53 national flour millers, the company expanded in 1946 with a daily production capacity of 40 tons. Daily capacity increased to 120 tons in 1950, and a reinforced concrete five-story new factory was completed in 1964 with a daily capacity of 250 tons. Raw wheat storage silos were expanded in 1967. In 1975, wheat flour silos were constructed and the premix business commenced. The company continued its growth with additional flour silos in 1984, a new warehouse and office building in 1993 with small package lines installed, a mix plant in 1996, and the 4th mix factory in 2001. ISO9001 was acquired and a peeling system introduced in 2004, followed by the food additives business launch and a new small package factory in 2005. The 5th mix factory was built in 2007, and 2016 marked a complete renovation of the 3rd mix factory and establishment of the 6th mix factory. The 2nd mix factory was refurbished in 2017 and the 1st mix factory in 2018. In 2021, the 3rd mix factory was expanded and ISO22000 certification was acquired.
