Company History of Imuraya Foods Co., Ltd.

1. Founded as Japan Food Co.
2. Ltd. in 1969
3. the company installed a new cup product automatic filling and packaging line in 1976
4. expanded into the seasoning business in 1978
5. introduced a fluid bed granulator (FLO) in 1984
6. and implemented an automatic stick packaging machine in 1988 (relocated in 2011). The company transitioned from frozen food to retort food business in 1991
7. completed an ice cream factory in 1992
8. introduced liquid seasoning manufacturing equipment in 1993
9. and deployed a spray dryer No. 4 in 1994. A liquid seasoning factory and blending packaging facility were completed in 1998
10. with spout pouch production commencing the same year. ISO14001 certification was obtained in 2000
11. followed by increased spray retort sterilization capacity in 2001. A mixing factory was completed and the seasonings business expanded to China in 2002. Organic JAS and ISO9001 certifications were acquired in 2003
12. a vacuum drum dryer (VDD) was introduced in 2004
13. and small bag packaging equipment was installed in 2008. ISO22000 certification was obtained in 2011
14. spray dryer No. 5 was deployed in 2012
15. and FSSC22000 and Halal certifications for powder products were achieved in 2015. The company merged as Imuraya Foods Co.
16. Ltd. and introduced a retort cup line in 2017. A new spout pouch facility (C Line) commenced operations and solar power generation was introduced in 2021. Spray dryer No. 6 was installed and mochi ice cream filling equipment was expanded in 2023. A groundwater filtration system will be introduced in 2025.
