Company History of Katagi Foods Co., Ltd.

1. Founded in 1919 as Katakigi Shouten in Otsu
2. Shiga Prefecture
3. the company commenced food and alcohol wholesale operations. In 1934
4. Manchuria Commerce Corporation was established in Xingjing
5. Manchukuo. The company reopened in Tenma
6. Osaka in 1949. In January 1953
7. Katakigi Shouten was registered as a corporation with Eishiro Katakigi as representative director. Branch offices were opened in Fukuoka in 1957 and Tokyo in 1959. A sesame processing plant was constructed and relocated to Neyagawa in 1963
8. followed by the opening of the Sapporo office in 1964. In 1967
9. Eishiro Katakigi assumed the position of inaugural chairman of the All Japan Sesame Processors' Federation. The company name was changed to Katagi Foods Corporation in 1982. The Sendai branch office opened in 1983
