Company History of Marubishi Co., Ltd.

  Founded as a private enterprise in 1946, the company was reorganized as a corporation in 1958 under the name Marubishi Food Grain Industrial Co., Ltd., and renamed to Marubishi Co., Ltd. in 1964. The Okayama plant was established in 1968. The company introduced the industry's first R-type tea bag machine in 1979, followed by a fully automatic tea bag line in 1986. The Okayama plant was expanded in 1990. In 1999, a second warehouse and automated warehouse were added, an automatic tea bag packaging line was introduced, and FVO certification was obtained. A roasting plant was expanded in 2003. Organic JAS certification was acquired in 2006. In 2013, a large-scale heated steam batch oven was introduced and an online shop was launched. A tetra-type tea bag filling and packaging machine was installed in 2015, followed by a fluid bed roasting system in 2016. In 2018, a stainless steel steaming tank was introduced. In 2020, JFS-B standard compliance certification was obtained.
