Company History of Takasago Foods Co., Ltd.

Founded in 1907 when the founder established Kusakari Seimen-sho, the company was led by its second-generation president from 1929 and began manufacturing and selling JA brand dried noodles in 1951. The company was reorganized as Takasago Food Co., Ltd. in January 1965, commenced production of hand-pulled style fresh ramen in 1982, and relocated to Onokami Town, Minitsugaru District in 1989. The company's Mejya-re Hiyamugi received the Food Industry Center Chairman's Award in 1993. It received the 8th Aogin Award in 2001, the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award for Excellence in Food Hygiene in 2002, and a Letter of Appreciation from the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2003. The sixth-generation president took office in 2016, and a Tokyo Sales Office was established in 2020.
