  Alpha Food Staff Co., Ltd. was founded as Asaii Sugar Shop in October 1925. It underwent corporate restructuring to become Asaii Trading Co., Ltd. in 1952. The company expanded its warehouse in 1974 and introduced sugar packaging equipment in 1978. Domestic wheat sales commenced in 1985. In 1991, a new headquarters was completed and the company was renamed Alpha Food Staff Co., Ltd., followed by the establishment of a Planning Products Division in 1992. The WEB Business Division was launched in 2001, and an online shop opened in 2002. A factory renovation and new picking yard were implemented in 2004. Organic JAS certification was obtained in 2006, and a U.S.A. Office was established in 2007. A second factory was constructed in 2008, and organic small-lot business product sales began in 2011. The Tokyo Sales Division opened in 2013, and the Johoku Factory was established in 2016. The Biokashi series launched in 2018, followed by the adoption of a sustainability declaration in 2020. The company will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025.
