  Founded in February 1956, Fuji Takafūzu Kōgyō Co., Ltd. was established as a limited company, Fuji Takaseika Co., Ltd., in Taito Ward, Tokyo in February 1958 with capital of 500,000 yen. The head office factory relocated to Arakawa Ward, Tokyo in January 1959, and subsequently to Adachi Ward, Tokyo in June 1964 with capital increased to 1,000,000 yen. The company was reorganized as a stock corporation and renamed Fuji Takashokuhin Co., Ltd. in November 1964 with capital increased to 2,000,000 yen. Capital was further increased to 4,500,000 yen in December 1966. The company name was changed to Fuji Takafūzu Kōgyō Co., Ltd. in June 1970, with capital increased to 8,000,000 yen in February 1971. The Saitama Factory in Ina Town, Kitaadachi District, Saitama Prefecture was completed in September 1974, and capital reached 20,000,000 yen in November 1976. In September 1983, the head office and Saitama Factory were closed, consolidating head office functions to Kita Ward, Tokyo and manufacturing operations to a new facility in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture. A new factory was constructed at the Hanyu Factory site in June 1990. The head office relocated to Kita Ward, Tokyo in October 1995. ISO9001 was acquired in July 2003, and another new factory was constructed at the Hanyu Factory site in August 2005. The Hanyu Factory Fourth Plant was newly constructed in March 2016. In preparation for FSSC22000 certification, ISO9001 was relinquished in April 2018, and FSSC22000 certification was obtained in October 2018.
