  Founded in 1921 as Yoshida Brewery by Shigeataro Yoshida, the company was reorganized into a joint-stock company in 1949 as Izumi Man Shoten Co., Ltd. with Shizuka Yoshida assuming the position of Representative Director and President. In 1959, the company adopted a policy to develop, manufacture, and sell products for commercial use. The company changed its name to Izumi Man Brewing Co., Ltd. in 1971. In 1990, the company installed fully automatic koji-making equipment and continuous automatic fermentation tanks. A retort food division was established in 1993, followed by the expansion of the research laboratory and test kitchen in 1994. In 1996, a distribution center was opened in Tadashiroda, Taketoyo. In 2004, Eiichiro Yoshida became Representative Director and President. The company acquired its own refrigerated and frozen logistics warehouse in 2006, and obtained a new logistics warehouse in 2010. The Yoshizumi Factory was established in 2016. In 2019, the company obtained JFS-B certification. The company celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021.
