  In 1971, the Ike-no-Ue store was opened in Kumamoto City. In 1975, the Tasaki Sogo Market store was opened, a head office plant was built in Akita Town, and the business was incorporated. A new plant was completed in 1989. In 1999, the company name was changed to Kitamura Foods Inc. In 2002, a plant was added within Foods Town in Goto-machi, Minami Ward, Kumamoto City. In July 2025, the company obtained JFS-B certification, and in August 2025, "Original Roast Beef" won the Gold Award in the Food & Beverage Division of the 89th Japan Food Selection.
