  Nakaya Muneyoshi Corporation was founded as Nakaya Confectionery in November 1946. The company was established as a limited liability company in May 1951, restructured into a joint-stock company in May 1964, relocated its headquarters to a newly constructed building in Uno, Tamano, Okayama Prefecture in February 1984, and opened the Shonai Factory in Nagao, Tamano, Okayama Prefecture in October 1988. In January 2014, the company received the Excellence Award at the Third Kirari Kagayaku OKAYAMA Retailer Commendation.
