  Wakaba Food Limited Company was established in April 1989. The company expanded with the construction of its second factory in September 1993, followed by the Gifu plant in September 1994. In October 1996, the company was reorganized as a stock corporation with increased capital of ¥10 million. The headquarters factory was newly built and relocated in August 1997. Subsequently, the Ibaraki plant was constructed in October 2000, the Gifu plant was relocated in September 2002, the Iwate plant was built in September 2003, and the Kumamoto plant was constructed in September 2004. In June 2005, subsidiary Foodsupport Co., Ltd. was established, followed by the construction of the Shizuoka plant in August 2005. The company increased its capital to ¥20 million in October 2007 and relocated its headquarters factory in September 2008. A refrigerated warehouse was added to the headquarters factory in March 2014, and the Ibaraki plant was relocated in February 2016. In September 2024, Hideyo Akasawa assumed the position of Chairman and Masahide Akasawa became President.
