  Founded in 1919 by Shiro Suzuki as a syrup and beverage water manufacturing and wholesale business in Kojimachi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, the company resumed operations in 1946 following World War II and relocated its headquarters to Bunkyo Ward. Established as Suzuki Shoten Limited Partnership in April 1954, the company appointed Koji Suzuki as representative director in 1973. In 1978, it acquired Kosei Warehouse Co., Ltd. to expand logistics facilities. In 1983, Suzusho became the exclusive importer of Teng brand beef steak jerky. Following a merger with Kosei Warehouse in 1985, the company was launched as Suzusho Co., Ltd. Kazushige Suzuki assumed the position of representative director in 1992 and relocated the headquarters to Araki-cho, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. In 2016, Motoji Suzuki became representative director.
