  Yamami Brewing Co., Ltd. commenced sales of tamari and soy sauce in Taketoyo Town, Aichi Prefecture in 1957, began production of tamari and soy sauce in Taketoyo in 1960, and established a rationalized production facility in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture in 1977, initiating sales of seasoning liquids for rice cracker manufacturers. The company began manufacturing commercial seasoning liquids such as yakiniku sauce in 1984, underwent reorganization to become Yamami Brewing Co., Ltd. in 1988, and introduced an electrodialysis desalting system in 1993. In 1994, automated decolorization equipment and sterilization/aseptic filling systems were introduced. A dedicated sauce manufacturing plant was established in 1997, followed by the commencement of additive-free seasoning production in 2000. ISO9001 certification was obtained in 2001, and frozen seasoning products (tsuyu and dressing) production began in 2002. In 2003, retort food manufacturing equipment and oil pressing equipment were introduced, initiating soybean oil production. In 2008, domestic whole soybeans tamari was launched and JAS factory certification was acquired. A fermentation facility was newly established in 2010, and a tamari production facility was added in 2014.
