Company History of Nihon Wiener Co., Ltd.

  Nippon Wiener Co., Ltd. was established in August 1963 in Totsukacho, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo as a specialized manufacturer of fish meat-based wiener products with a capital of 2 million yen. In 1967, it merged with Nippon Wiener Yokohama Factory and relocated its headquarters and plant to the current location in Hodogaya Ward, Yokohama, with capital increased to 15 million yen. The company established its third factory in 1985 and opened a ham and sausage training school under Yokohama Gourmet Club. In 1989, it entered into a business partnership with New Quick Co., Ltd. and increased capital to 83 million yen, commencing ham and bacon manufacturing. An inspection laboratory was opened in 1992, followed by the president's study visit to German RAPS company in 1996. The Seya Factory began operations in 1997, and monthly production reached 300 tons in 2002. The company expanded the second factory in 2004 and consolidated the head office factory and Seya Factory in 2009.
