Company History of Amude Co., Ltd.

  Founded in August 1975, Amude Co., Ltd. was established as Mikimoto Spice Co., Ltd. in Urawa, Saitama Prefecture in May 1976, beginning with liquid small-portion products. The company changed its name to Ajikigen Spice Co., Ltd. in June 1977. In May 1980, the trademark "Issun Boushi" was registered and powdered miso soup and soup products were launched. A liquid-dedicated factory was newly constructed in Toda, Saitama in November 1982. The new head office was completed in Urawa, Saitama in September 1986, consolidating operations at the Urawa and Toda facilities. The Amude trademark was registered in July 1990, and the company changed its name to Amude Co., Ltd. in July 1991 with the completion of the new "Amude Building" in Omagaki, Urawa (now Higashi-Urawatsu, Midori Ward, Saitama). The HACCP-compliant Hanyu factory commenced operations in April 1998. ISO9001 certification was obtained in June 2003, with capital increased to ¥55 million. A technology development division was established at the Hanyu factory in October 2007. The online store was launched in October 2011. FSSC22000 certification was acquired in April 2019. In December 2021, the company received the Saitama City SDGs Certified Enterprise Award. The Hanyu Second Factory was completed in November 2022 and commenced operations in February 2023, with the company obtaining Saitama Prefecture's Platinum Certification for Diverse Work Practices. Kaori Kurihara assumed the position of Representative Director and President in May 2024.
